Tindall Vineyard Chardonnay 2010
14 bottles left in stock
Found after being lost for years in the corner of some warehouse in Stamford. Golden colour might instantly worry some, but we have recent and satisfactory experience with older New Zealand whites and, while a decade may no longer be a baby, the odds are good for a sellable wine with little risk of poisoning anyone. Nose of mature tropical yet plenty fresh all the same. Good legs, whatever that might infer. And into the mouth, and let it hang for a while, with real pungency, combined with an essence of very old, but not quite dead, white Burgundy. Finish is bone dry, fresh from any remaining acidity, and clean. Wants food but not essential, decent old Chardonnay and very enjoyable
