Apparently, there's a shortage of 'cheap' NZ Sauvignon. Well, Marie Antoinette, let them drink mid-priced Pinot Gris instead. And what better than this fine example from Steve Pellett and Bridget Ennals, Brits (he from Kent no less) who had the bright idea of both settling and making wine in Marlborough's Awatere Valley. Still young and fresh, some tropical on the nose and in the mouth with more green fruitiness and some lime in the finish, overall delicate and nuanced, could happily leave this for a few years but it's not likely to happen
