Montmija La Chapelle Chardonnay 2013

  • 2 bottles left in stock

Golden colour, fresh nose with light hints of honey and no sign of age. In the mouth it's more secondary, but clearly well made from quality fruit by Les Domaines Auriol. There's a richness and a sweetness and a light acidic freshness with clean, but short, finish. Decent enough glass, probably needs drinking up and would be better with food but fine on its own

Tasted May 2020

June 2020 a customer reported 'Bland, no taste, acidic.  You have better wines at this price', so we've dropped the price a bit more

October 2020, sick of looking at the stuff. reduced to the sub-£5 category, ironically the day it tasted at its best, just after a Little Creatures Pale Ale 5.2% best before March 2020 : super fruity nose, like apple cider. In the mouth, a sweetness and acidity of a Riesling. Finish is dry and cleansing, and end result pretty neutral. Must be worth £3.60 to someone
