Will Davenport speaks of perfect growing conditions for the 2018, and it shows from the moment the cork is popped : beautifully fresh, floral, aromatic nose, ripe apple, a touch of lemon and even banana. In the mouth there are some similarities to the Sauvignon Blanc that is often used as a comparison, but there is also such an incredible array of other flavours that it's a bit of an insult to the four indigenous, and carefully selected varieties to be compared to only one, so let's add Sauvignon Gris to the list and even a bit of Muscat Sec where the nose is concerned. No doubt about it, still the best (English still white wine)
