Argentina wines from Rodney Fletcher Vintners wine merchants of Tunbridge Wells

Some years ago now we went 'out on a limb' and shipped direct from Argentina. The wines were a huge success but the quantities involved took a while to sell and, as we now no longer 'bond', it is not an exercise we feel able to repeat in the immediate future. In the meantime, after a long search, we have finally found a small selection of wines from Mendoza which, we feel, offer both a quality and value that we have hitherto been unable to find in the UK

Xama Che Torrontes 2006, Valle de Uco, Mendoza 5.02 60.28 Bodega Xama is situated in a unique terroir in the Uco Valley, on the Andes slopes, more than 1000 metres above sea level, 100km south of Mendoza. Winemaker Philippe Pla has produced a lovely, floral, off-dry wine with aroma of roses and delightful fresh & fruity flavours, not unlike a dry Muscat

Malbec Aprendiendo a Volar 2005, La Consulta, Mendoza 4.23 50.76 an easy drinking, great value Malbec produced from younger vines but softened by some bottle ageing, with typical dark colour, subtle tannin & lovely plummy flavours

Xama Kaye Malbec 2004, Valle de Uco, Mendoza 6.88 82.60 Xama Kaye, meaning 'Heart's Promise', is from Bodega Xama's reserve range, only produced in optimum vintages. This is a full bodied wine, with dark purple colour, aromas of violets, silky texture & sweet tannins, at 14%

Minimum order is one case (of 12 bottles or equivalent) which may be mixed from any of our wines listed

Delivery is free for all orders within our own delivery area (currently London and most surrounding counties) and for 3+ case orders throughout the remainder of the UK, excluding Highlands & Islands (please enquire for rates). Orders of less than 3 cases sent by third party carrier will be charged at cost or below (around £4 per case excluding VAT)
