Ochoa Merlot Crianza 2003, Navarra 10.28 123.38 Javier Ochoa has been at the forefront of the recent drive to raise the profile of Navarra as a serious winemaking region. Aged for 12 months in American oak, the wine shows a deep garnet hue, with toasty, smokey nose, soft, ripe, plummy flavours and mellow tannins, with a subtle bitter twist on the finish

Ochoa Viura Chardonnay 2004, Navarra 7.52 90.24 a very interesting wine and not at all what one might expect. Made from 70% Viura and 30% chardonnay, unoaked, the wine shows dry and quite complex tangy flavours but also has a floral quality not unlike a dry Muscat

Tuella Douro Tinto 2004 4.70 56.40 produced by Cockburns up the Douro, this is an extremely good wine of medium body, well balanced rich fruit and a touch of spiciness

Palmela Particular 2005, Caves Alianca 6.80 81.55 made form 100% Periquita grapes, good structure and nice balance of fruit & tannin

White

Casal Mendes Vinho Verde, Caves Alianca 5.13 61.57 medium dry, though fresh & crisp, wine with delicate fruit flavour, an excellent accompaniment to shellfish

Rose

Casal Mendes Rose, Caves Alianca 4.91 58.87 dry with good flavour, and certainly a cut above other 'brand name' Portuguese rosés

Minimum order is one case (of 12 bottles or equivalent) which may be mixed from any of our wines listed

Delivery is free for all orders within our own delivery area (currently London and most surrounding counties) and for 3+ case orders throughout the remainder of the UK, excluding Highlands & Islands (please enquire for rates). Orders of less than 3 cases sent by third party carrier will be charged at cost or below (around £4 per case excluding VAT)
